Always happy to visit Montebello - it's often busy which indicates people like it enough to come back, and always hits the mark with delicious Italian dishes! Staff are always helpful and the food arrives fast and fresh; and the menu has a great selection across different pastas, pizzas, and other main dishes. Definitely book ahead on a Saturday night as it was packed out even mid-January :)

I have been to this Italian restaurant a few times now and I can't recommend it more. The quality of the food is extremely good and it is all cooked fresh to order. The portion sizes are brilliant as well. I would also highly recommend having the tiramisu for dessert. The service is excellent and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food also doesn't take very long to come. The price you pay for the food is unbeatable and on certain days at lunchtime you can get 20% off food. It is by far one of the best Italian restaurants I have been to and would always come back when I'm in Louth.

Can’t recommend this restaurant enough! The food is absolutely delicious! It’s the 5th time we’ve visited when staying in the area and is one of the main reasons we keep coming back! It’s so well presented and so flavoursome!
We went for starters, the arancini and bruschetta then a calzone, risotto and a carbonara for our child. It was TDF!
The service is absolutely brilliant they were so friendly, kind and made you feel so welcome! Really pleasant atmosphere and lots of choice on the menu too.
Yet again another fabulous visit!

Really good standard, i'm a big fan of Italian cuisine obvs.
Calzone is excellent, pizza and garlic bread exemplary. Lasagne and spag meatballs are excellent too. Monkfish overcooked, not a good balance with the charcuterie, too strong for fish yeah! Reasonable price for a very enjoyable treat, overall very good.

Visiting family they regularly go here and we were very impressed. It is not that large which is why it is best to book.
There are steps inside and out so how they accommodate less able-bodied individuals I don't know.
We had a table for 4, but they were able to move furniture around if bigger groups were needed.
Our orders for drinks and food were taken quickly and equally served.
The menu has a good selection of various options Italian and traditional, we had a selection of different dishes and everyone enjoyed what they received.
They even offer a takeaway service as well.
We will certainly be going back.

We came here with friends for a Christmas catch up. The restaurant is beautiful, the staff amazing and the food was so good that we were all to busy eating and enjoying ourselves we forget to take any pictures. We chose several different meals and everything turned up cooked to perfection. Don’t forget to finish up with a limoncello shot.

Sunday 17.00 hrs. Table for 2, as a walk in. The staff were great and so welcoming. We had 2 starters and 2 mains. We could not fault any of them, they were absolutely delicious. The Calzone Canibale was the best I've had and he even put an extra chilli in there as well. The lasagne was piping hot and took some cooling down but again was gorgeous.
We cannot recommend the Montebello highly enough, we enjoyed everything from walking in to walking out, with full stomachs. Thank you to all the staff.

We were a party of 8. We had a warm welcome on arrival. The waitress was lovely, food and drink were amazing. Good portions at very good prices

Ordered tea and told it will be delivered in 1 hour 15 minutes which is a long wait for a Monday in a small town tried calling to see if it could come sooner instead of coming at bed time but no answer
And then the food arrived looking like me child had made it
But biggest issue the food was stone cold and the chips like rubber
Very disappointing 1/10 would not recommend

We picked up a takeaway as we were staying in a cottage nearby with our dog. We chose the Rosemary Garlic Bread, Pollo Al Funghi, Beef Short Ribs & side orders of Rosemary Potatoes and Seasonal Veg. Everything was absolutely delicious - we ate every morsel and kept saying how amazing it was 😀. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! (Couldn’t comment on Atmosphere as we didn’t eat in)

Nice welcome and polite, pleasant staff. 4 good fish dishes on the menu. The halibut was delicious, as was the short rib of beef and Porchetta. Prices were sensible.
